I was awoken by a faint light A fading voice and the memory of a transient dream Now the commotion of my receeding past has begun to reflect The scenery I can't yet see. Laughing by me... you were there. Yes... I remember it like it was yesterday, That gaze that touched me deeper than any other. The joy of sharing with each other, The miracle like nature of our meeting... We left behind even our images, disappearing. In this thinning memory I want to hold you once more Until my voice is gone, I'll continue to yell your name out painfully. I want to hold you in these arms As you shudder with your head down. Because I've realized I want to protect you More than anyone else in the world. I'll be gone in just a while but, Even still I can't bear to part with you Painfully wrapped in you, I'll never forget that day.
